The basic skincare routine varies depending on your skin type, needs and environment, but here is a generally applicable routine, divided into morning and evening parts:
Morning skin care routine
1.Cleaning
Use gentle cleansing products to remove the oil and dirt secreted by the skin during the night, and avoid excessive cleansing that may damage the skin barrier.
2.Toner
Balances the skin’s pH and replenishes basic moisture.
Choose products with moisturizing or soothing properties.
3.Essence
For morning skincare needs, choose antioxidant serums (such as vitamin C serums) to brighten your skin and fight free radicals.
For specific needs, choose anti-aging or moisturizing serums.
4.Eye Cream
Gently pat around the eyes to improve dark circles, puffiness or dry lines.
5.Lotion/Cream
Locks in moisture and strengthens the skin barrier.
For oily skin, choose a light lotion, and for dry skin, choose a more moisturizing cream.
6.Sunscreen
The most important step to protect against UV damage.
Apply SPF 30 or above sunscreen 15-30 minutes before going out, and remember to reapply.
Nighttime skincare routine
1.Remove makeup (if you wear makeup or use sunscreen)
Use makeup removal products (such as cleansing oil, cleansing water) to thoroughly remove makeup, sunscreen and dirt.
2.Cleaning
Re-cleansing skin to avoid residue clogging your pores.
3.Exfoliate (1-2 times a week)
Use a gentle exfoliant to remove dead skin cells and promote subsequent absorption. Avoid over-exfoliation.
4.Toner/Lotion
Soothes the skin and helps absorb subsequent products.
5.Essence
At night, you can choose a repairing or nourishing essence, such as niacinamide, retinol, hyaluronic acid, etc.
You can stack multiple essences according to your skin needs.
6.Eye Cream
Repairs the skin around the eyes, moisturizes and prevents the formation of dry lines.
7.Lotion/Cream
Nighttime skin care requires enhanced repair and nourishment. Using a cream rich in active ingredients can help the skin repair itself at night.
