Looking back at the tourism and hotel industry from 2020 to 2022, the first year of the epidemic, it can be said that both the tourism industry and the hotel industry were affected due to the disruption of the epidemic and the impact of international environmental factors. The downturn in the tourism industry and travel restrictions have caused major difficulties in hotel operations, and many hotels have been forced to close or lay off staff. However, with the gradual improvement of the epidemic situation, coupled with support from the state and self-help from various companies, the global hotel industry has entered a buffer phase. In 2022, when the global epidemic is gradually under control, related travel restrictions will be lifted and many countries will adopt flexible prevention and control measures. The international hotel group has made a strong comeback overall. Relevant data shows that nine international hotel groups’ revenue grew by an average of 44.73% year-on-year and net profit increased significantly year-on-year, with an average year-on-year increase of 1.52 times. It shows the trend of leaving the low and gradually improving. However, compared to international hotel groups, domestic hotel groups are slightly inferior. Influenced by the general environment, the overall situation is still stagnant, but there are also some hotel groups that have withstood the pressure and achieved profitability. And I believe that after the rains during the epidemic, these hotels must be fully prepared and operational! The era of economic boom in the hotel industry must be near!
